Samsung Group. 2009 results in revenues KRW 139 trillion, net profit KRW 9.5 trillion. In May, 2010, Samsung announced that they will invest KRW 20 trillion in new growth engines including solar energy, batteries and LED lighting, among others. Samsung Electronics is starting to build out their 100MW solar cell production facility in Kiheung, Korea. Samsung SDI, together with Bosch, established SB Limotive and is ramping up their car battery manufacturing facility in Ulsan, Korea. Samsung LED will be leading the efforts to produce LED lighting systems.
